Our photography brand was built on a love for the ocean.
Our ocean portraits offer a unique and beautiful opportunity for creating one-of-a-kind photos. Whether it be the deep blue of the open ocean or the translucent aqua of a lagoon, each creates an inspiring and remarkable backdrop for any kind of portrait. You will need to be an experienced swimmer for our deep-water portrait experience. But even if you're not quite so experienced, we offer a lagoon package that enables you to be waist-deep in the water and still enjoy the water portraits - just scroll down to see the difference between the deep ocean vs lagoon sessions!

This session is most popular as a trash the wedding dress but can be used as maternity, engagement or simply fun holiday photos. We have a Lagoon session option for anyone that isn't a confident swimmer but still want to have artistic water photos.

FAQ
WHERE WILL OUR WATER SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Depending on which collection you booked, the Deep Ocean session takes place on a boat charter and is subject to weather conditions on the day, as it goes beyond the reef. Our Lagoon sessions, on the other hand, are typically photographed by the Rarotongan Beach Resort. We have found that the clarity at this location is the best, but we are more than happy to accommodate your preference and photograph at a different beach on the island if it holds more significance for you.
WHO WILL OUR PHOTOGRAPHER BE?
Your session will be photographed by Julian and edited by yours truly (Brie)
WHO ARE WATER PORTRAITS FOR?
Anyone that wants something unique out of their time in the Cook Islands and doesn't mind getting wet. You do have to be comfortable and an experienced swimmer to book our deep ocean, feel free to chat to us more about this.
IS THIS SESSION ONLY FOR THE COOK ISLANDS?
Nope! Anywhere tropical! Mo'orea is still on our bucket list.
WILL IT RUIN MY DRESS?
In all our years offering water sessions we haven't come across a bride that has ruined the dress from wearing it in the ocean. It'll get very wet. We'd say walking around in land after its rained it more likely to stain the dress. We suggest you talk to your dress designer in regards to how the fabric will handle the water.
